1st Year Parents iPad Post-Deployment Evening with Wriggle
Wriggle will be hosting a Post-Deployment iPad evening for the Parents/Guardians of 1st Year students using iPads on Wednesday 14th of October at 7.45pm in the Lecture Theatre.
1st Year Parents/Guardians are asked to bring their daughter’s iPad with them and to make sure that they have record of the 4-digit passcode and Apple ID password with them (available on the Wriggle Deployment Sheet).
The purpose of this evening is for Parents/Guardians to understand how to monitor and check how their daughter is using their iPad, how to set additional restrictions (if required) and to ensure safe and appropriate use of the device.
Students should not attend this event and they will be excused from homework for that night as Parents/Guardians will have their iPads.
The duration of the meeting will be approximately forty-five minutes to an hour.
We look forward to seeing you on the night.
Active School Week
Congratulations to the Student Council on their excellent organising of Active School Week; the Dancethon was particularly enjoyable. Well done.
Year Head appointments
I wish to advise you of new Year Head appointments in the school.
Ms Aisling Green has been appointed to the position of Assistant Principal with Year Head responsibilities for 1st Year. Ms Celine McCarthy has been appointed to the position of Assistant Principal with Year Head responsibilities for 6th Year and Ms Julie O’Brien has been appointed to the Acting Up position of Assistant Principal with Year Head responsibilities for 5th Year.
Mr. Micheál Murphy replaces Ms Julie O’Brien as Year Head for 4th Year and Ms Samantha Watters replaces Ms Celine McCarthy as Year Head for 3A and 3B.
I am appealing to all parents/guardians to drop off/pick up students at the Harbour Road corner rather than drive into the school grounds or to the car park at the Sports Hall. A serious health and safety problem is developing for pedestrians and staff who must access the school buildings on a narrow route.
Come visit our new Transition Year site here for everything TY related.
