Sr. Orla and Sr. Penina spoke to our 5th and 6th Year students about their work in education and health care in the Loreto School in Rumbek, South Sudan.   The presentation was inspiring, with our students recognising the liberating power of education for girls.  For the last ten years, students in Dalkey have made financial contributions to this project and we would hope to continue our fundraising efforts this year.

Tickets must be returned to the school no later than Friday 15th September.

The draw will take place on Monday 18th September.

Congratulations to all our students on their results today.

We wish you all every happiness as you progress to further education.

Mr Dunne

Congratulations to the German Debating team, consisting of Emily Lennon, Aoibhin Meghen, Marina Boyle, Grace Cagney, and Alicia MacIntyre. Having won a number of rounds throughout the year  the team reached the final of the National German Debating Competition on May 11th, where they debated against CBC Cork.  Each member of the team debated skillfully on the day. The topic was 'Travel as a Means of Education'.  The team were narrowly defeated by CBC Cork.
