I take this opportunity to acknowledge the positive work ethic of our students, the dedication of our staff and the support of our parents, all who contributed to the success of the Class of 2021.

It is timely to note that such progression rates are but one measure to judge the success of a school. In Loreto, we pride ourselves on working with students of all abilities. Success for us is where students achieve personal bests, progress to further study, at whatever level, and engage in courses that they find enjoyable and fulfilling.

Academic success is often linked with personal happiness and contentment. Much time is spent in Loreto developing a sense of community amongst students and staff and fostering bonds with school. Happy students will achieve to their potential. Our extra-curricular programme facilitates this aim. This year, just under 500 students are involved in sports with many others participating in our wider extra-curricular programme. I thank our coaching and teaching staff who are so dedicated to promoting and supporting this aspect of school life.
