Congratulations to the 1st year C Team who won their semi final match v East Glendalough yesterday. The girls went on to play Sion Hill in the final. The girls were so unlucky not to win the final match.

Author Dave Rudden dropped into the school to talk to the Creative Writing Club on Friday March 24th.  Dave gave us lots of tips for writing and performed some readings from his book "Knights of the Borrowed Dark".  Hana Tuite presented him with a poem which she has written for him to thank him for visitng and Dave gave a signed copy of his book to Mairead O'Sullivan for asking the best question.

The school celebrated "International Women's Day" on March 8th with some Cadbury's chocolate eggs.

Ms. Maginn would like to congratulate those who took part in the Student Enterprise Awards on March 23rd  Huge congratulations to Sara Hally-Doody and Genevieve Seger from 1st Year who came 1st in the Junior Category and will now go on to represent South Dublin in the National Final of the Student Enterprise Programme in May. Congratulations also to Amelia Kelly in 1st Year who came second in the Junior Category. Very well done to all those involved. 

Congratulations to Katie Baguly, Sorcha Gueret and Charlotte O'Riordan who are all representing Loreto Dalkey and Leinster in the Interprovincial swimming Championships in April. 

In March the Dram Club visited the Gaiety School of Acting in Smock Alley Theatre.  The girls went on tour of Smock Alley and learnt about the history of Ireland's oldest theatre.  They then attended an enjoyable workshop in the Gaiety whcih focused on confidence and team building skills.

Many congratulations to the Senior 4 Hockey team and their coach on winning the Senior 4 Loreto League earlier today.

Yvonne Cassidy, a past pupil, is launching a new novel on 22nd March.  “I’m Right Here” is published by Hachette Books Ireland.   Yvonne is based in the States and has already published two very successful novels.  We are very proud of her.
